From a Village Classroom
to Building Real Software
I started Smart Village Computer Hub with one goal — bring quality computer education to students in rural Odisha who never had access to it. In a village where most families didn't own a computer, I set up a lab and started teaching, one student at a time.
While teaching, I kept noticing something. The local medical stores, kirana shops, and small businesses around me were running entirely on paper. Billing done by hand. Stock tracked in registers. Records lost. Mistakes everywhere. Every day I could see the problem — but no one was solving it for them, because they were too small for big software companies to care about.
That first sale — earning my first money from software I built myself — changed everything. It proved that rural businesses will pay for good software when it's made for them, priced for them, and supported by someone they can actually call.
Today, SVCH Technologies is my full mission. Not just to sell software — but to digitise 100 local businesses by 2027 and show that the best tech doesn't have to come from a big city.
